La primera cita documentada de esta especie en aguas ib\u00e9ricas tuvo lugar en la costa atl\u00e1ntica espa\u00f1ola, en El Portil (Huelva, Espa\u00f1a), asociada con el briozoo <em>Amathia verticillata<\/em> (ver Garc\u00eda G\u00f3mez &amp; Bobo, 1986). La primera cita conocida hasta ahora en aguas mediterr\u00e1neas espa\u00f1olas tuvo lugar en Sant Feliu de Gu\u00edxols (Girona, Espa\u00f1a) donde el bi\u00f3logo Xavier Salvador report\u00f3 el hallazgo de un ejemplar el 23 de julio de 2017 (Salvador, 2017).<\/p>\n<p>Posteriormente, en agosto de 2018, Camps y Prado hallaron varios centenares de ejemplares de <em>Polycerella emertoni<\/em> aliment\u00e1ndose y reproduci\u00e9ndose sobre el briozoo <em>Amathia verticillata<\/em> en la bah\u00eda dels Alfacs, en el delta del Ebro, Sant Carles de la R\u00e0pita, Espa\u00f1a.<\/p>\n<p>El briozoo <em>Amathia verticillata<\/em> fue originalmente descrito en el Golfo de N\u00e1poles, Italia (Jebakumar et al., 2017), y es considerada como especie pseudo-ind\u00edgena, nativa de las aguas templadas y tropicales del Atl\u00e1ntico occidental (Galil et Gevili, 2014). Sin embargo, teniendo en cuenta la mayor cantidad de citas mediterr\u00e1neas comparadas con las citas atl\u00e1nticas, esta afirmaci\u00f3n podr\u00eda ponerse en duda.
